Founder and visionary Shannon Walton combines strategic thinking and creative intuition with a unique blend of design and operational skills. With over 18 years in hospitality retail design and development, Shannon has managed retail projects for some of the most highly acclaimed hotels in the world and carved out a reputation of steady leadership, innovative spirit and gracious professionalism.
Prior to launching Alembic Design, Shannon led the Luxury Brand Retail Division for Marriott International with oversight of Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, EDITION, Autograph and W Hotels, creating a lasting legacy that has shaped retail standards and defined leaders in luxury hospitality.
Today Shannon applies her talents throughout the entire development process, with a specific focus on retail concepting, product development and procurement, merchandising and store planning.
Shannon is one of the forerunners of lifestyle retailing… a highly curated, story-driven exchange that allows for retail to become a part of the overall guest experience. She is keenly aware of the various components of creating outstanding retail operations - particularly within unexpected and niche settings - which she believes present considerable, often untapped, opportunities for revenue generation and the creation of guest stories and memories.
